Is my data really private?
Yes. ClearSpend has no backend server. Your data lives in Apple's on-device SwiftData database. If you enable iCloud sync, it travels through your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit with end-to-end encryption). We never receive a copy. See our Privacy Policy for full technical detail.
Do I have to connect my bank?
No — and you can't. ClearSpend never links to a bank and never asks for bank credentials. You log spending yourself, including cash, so there's nothing for anyone to access.
Does it work offline?
Yes, completely. ClearSpend is fully functional with no network connection. All computation runs on-device.
Is there a subscription?
Only if you want one. Pro is a one-time lifetime unlock, or an optional low yearly price if you'd rather. The free tier is genuinely useful and never expires.
