← Reactor: Core Siege
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 August 2026
The short version: Reactor: Core Siege has no account and no servers.
Your entire game — every run, turret, blueprint, upgrade and record — lives
only on your device. We never ask who you are and never collect a
profile. Three things do leave your phone: anonymous usage analytics
and crash reports (both through Google Firebase, to see which features
are used and to fix bugs — never your name, your game content, or anything that
identifies you), and the data Google AdMob needs to show the game's
ads. Buying Ad-Free Forever removes the ads and that ad-data flow
entirely. Everything is described in full below.
What Core Siege accesses on your device
Nothing you have to grant. The game asks for no permissions at all — no
photos, no contacts, no calendar, no microphone, no location, no health data. It does not
need them and does not request them.
Your game data stays on your device
Your progress — descent history, the blueprint collection, prestige-tree upgrades,
Sparks, ascension rung, Daily streak, best depth, and your settings — is stored
locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage. There is no
Core Siege server, no cloud save, and no database anywhere that holds your game or your
identity. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
No account required
There is no sign-up, no email address, no phone number, and no social login. We never
ask who you are, because the game never needs to know.
Analytics and crash reporting — the honest disclosure
Core Siege uses Google Firebase for two things, and only these two:
- Anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Analytics) — we record which
screens and features get used and how runs end (for example, that a Daily Descent was
completed, or that a purchase screen was viewed) so we know what to improve. These
events are anonymous and aggregate: they are keyed to a random,
resettable Firebase instance identifier, not to your name, email, or
Apple ID — we never ask for those. We deliberately never send your game
content or any free text with an event (no run seeds, no personal data). To
run the numbers, Firebase records an approximate, IP-derived (city-level)
location and basic device and app-version info. Cross-app advertising
signals (Google "signals") are turned off, so this analytics data is
not used to build an ad profile of you.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — when the app crashes, we
receive a technical crash report (what went wrong, the device model, and the iOS
version) so we can fix it. It contains no personal data and no game content.
Analytics and crash collection are disabled entirely in our internal test and
simulator builds, so our own testing never pollutes the data. If the way we use
this data ever changes, this page will be updated before the change ships, and the change
will be noted in the App Store release notes.
Advertising
Core Siege includes ads served by Google AdMob: optional
rewarded ads (you choose to watch a short video in exchange for an
in-game bonus — if you never tap that option, you never see one) and a limited,
frequency-capped interstitial. This is the only part of the app that shares any data
with anyone. Here is exactly what it involves:
- What AdMob collects — to serve and measure ads, Google AdMob may
collect and use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and
related technical data (device type, coarse app-usage and ad-interaction signals,
and approximate/IP-derived location). This is used to show ads, measure their
performance, and limit how often you see the same ad.
- Shared with Google as our ad provider — this data goes to Google,
which acts as the advertising provider and, with its ad partners, may use it to
serve ads. Google's list of ad technology partners is available
here.
- Your tracking choice (App Tracking Transparency) — iOS asks for your
permission before the app uses your advertising identifier to track you across other
companies' apps and websites. If you decline, you still get the game and the
rewarded ads — the ads are simply non-personalized. You can change your
answer any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Consent in the EEA/UK — if you are in the European Economic Area,
the UK, or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before any personalized-ads data
is used, via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent prompt. You can decline,
and you can change your choice later.
- Ad-Free Forever removes it — the one-time
Ad-Free Forever purchase removes all ads permanently. With it, the
ad SDK is not used to serve you ads, and this entire data flow stops. At that point
nothing leaves your device at all.
Google's use of the advertising data described above is governed by
Google's advertising policy.
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device's system
settings.
Purchases
Core Siege offers three optional one-time purchases — a Starter Pack, Ad-Free Forever,
and a Spark Pack. There is no subscription. All purchases are processed by
Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Core Siege never sees your payment method,
Apple ID, or billing details. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
Fair play — what your money cannot buy
Not strictly a privacy matter, but it is a promise worth writing down: the
Daily Descent is wallet-immune. Every player gets the identical board for
a given day, and no purchase — none of the three above — can change its outcome or your
standing. Paying only speeds up your own private progress. Ranking is local for now.
Data we do not collect
To be explicit about what Core Siege does not do:
- We do not have a game server or database, so there is no account, profile, or save
that lives anywhere but your device.
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any identity — there is no
sign-up.
- Our analytics never include your game content, run seeds, or any free text you
enter; see Analytics and crash reporting for exactly what
is collected.
- We do not collect precise GPS location. The only location involved is the
approximate, IP-derived (city-level) location used by Firebase analytics and by the
ad SDK.
- We do not access your photos, contacts, calendar, microphone, or health data.
- We do not use device fingerprinting. The only cross-app identifier involved is the
device advertising identifier, used solely to serve the ads described in the
Advertising section — and only if you allow it.
- We do not sell your data.
Children
Core Siege is rated 9+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly
collect personal data from children. The game's ads are not aimed at children.
Data breach risk
Because Core Siege stores nothing on any server, there is no Core Siege database to
breach. Your game lives on your device, governed by Apple's device security model — we
recommend a strong passcode and Face ID/Touch ID.
Retention
Your game data lives only on your device and is removed when you delete the app or
reset your progress in-game. Advertising data handled by Google is retained under
Google's own retention policy;
we never receive or store a copy of it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material
changes will be noted in the App Store release notes. Continued use of Core Siege after a
change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
