Is my data safe?
Yes. FairScan has no servers and requires no account. Scans are saved on your device or in your personal iCloud Drive — controlled by you and Apple, not by us. On-device OCR uses Apple's Vision framework and never sends text to any server. Read the full Privacy Policy.
What about e-sign?
FairScan includes basic annotation and finger/Pencil signature support for personal use. For legally binding e-signatures (DocuSign-level audit trails), you will need a dedicated signing service. FairScan is a document scanner, not a legal execution platform.
Why one-time pricing instead of a subscription?
Because scanning a document is a simple utility task, not a service. You do not subscribe to scissors. $19.99 once reflects what it costs to build and maintain the app fairly — without relying on customers forgetting to cancel.
Does it work offline?
Entirely. Scanning, OCR, folder management, and PDF creation all work offline. An internet connection is only used if you choose to export to a cloud service like Dropbox.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple — visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no mechanism to issue refunds directly, and we do not want unhappy customers to pay for something that did not work for them.
