By downloading or using Kindling ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms are between you and Moath Othman ("we," "us"), the app's developer.
Kindling is licensed, not sold, to you. Unless we provide a separate signed agreement, your licence to use the app on iOS is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), and on Android by the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms supplement whichever applies. Where these Terms and the applicable store licence conflict on the licence itself, the store licence controls; on everything specific to Kindling, these Terms control.
Kindling is a light, wholesome tool for couples to spark conversation through daily questions and games. It is not therapy, counselling, or professional relationship, medical, or psychological advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. The questions and prompts are for fun and connection only. You are responsible for how you use the app and for the conversations you choose to have.
Kindling requires no account, no sign-in, and no personal information to work. Everything you enter stays on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the security of the device the app is installed on; anyone with access to that device can open the app and see your answers.
Kindling offers a free tier (a curated question every day, forever) and an optional Kindling Pro upgrade. Pro is available as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime unlock. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play; payment, billing, and renewals are governed by your Apple ID or Google account terms.
Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Any free-trial period, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. The lifetime unlock is a single one-time purchase and does not renew. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies; we have no mechanism to issue refunds directly.
Do not misuse the app: do not attempt to breach its security, reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it for unlawful purposes. Some optional content packs may contain suggestive, 17+ themed questions and are gated accordingly; do not share such content with anyone for whom it is inappropriate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the outcome of any conversation or decision you make using the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Where Apple is involved, Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the standard EULA entitled to enforce it against you.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above and in the store release notes. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may discontinue features or the app with reasonable notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country. Questions? Email dark2torch@gmail.com.
